Our Quality Policy

In early 2019, the EFG Management Committee took the decision to obtain ISO 9001: 2015
Certification in time for the 20th Anniversary of EFG Engineers (Pty) Ltd in September 2020.

In order to ensure that the required Quality Management System components were implemented correctly and in the minimum required amount of time, a specialized Consultant (Joubert Corporate Engineers) were appointed to assist and guide us with the implementation process.

This process went smoothly and a Gap Audit held in late November 2019 confirmed that EFG was ready for the external Certification audit and the Stage 1 audit took place at the end of January 2020. We passed this audit, which confirmed that the ISO 9001:2015 requirements were fully embedded in our Quality Management Systems, and were cleared for the Stage 2 audit. After some slight delays due to Covid-19 pandemic the Stage 2 audit took place on 11 May 2020 and we passed with no corrective issues. BSI then carried out their verification process and we were exceedingly proud to be awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification by BSI on 9 June 2020. This will enhance our Service Delivery to Clients and other Stakeholders going forward into our next 20 years.

Our Environment Policy

We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimises our potential impact on the environment. We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

We Will:

Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into our decision making and activities, promote environmental awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner, actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers. Reduce waste through re-use and recycling. Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout our facility including water, electricity, raw materials and other resources, particularly those that are non-renewable

Purchase and use environmentally responsible products accordingly, communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it, we strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and damage of our activities. We do this by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.
